Founded in 1897 as the Faculty of Engineering of the Fifth High School, the Kumamoto University Faculty of Engineering has a 120-year history, throughout which it has educated a large number of talented men and women in the spirit of progress we have kept since the beginning.
We do not lie content with our history and traditions, but instead play a leading role in making our university one that our current students and alumni can be proud of, and an institute that is admired by society.
