Department of Materials Science and Applied Chemistry
In the Department of Materials Science and Applied Chemistry, there are three education programs (Chemistry and Bioscience, Chemistry and Materials, and Materials Science and Engineering), and we are involved in education and research with the goal of nurturing talent who have expertise and skills in each field and who can contribute to sustainably developing a prosperous society. In order for human society to develop in harmony with the natural environment, we need to understand materials and life at the atomic and molecular level, develop innovative and creative materials and technologies, and solve the issues we face regarding the environment, energy, etc. In this department, we offer education programs so that students comprehensively master the expertise and skills that enable them to use their global perspective, logical thinking, and a bold ability to get things done to make progress in research and development on these issues.
